Probably the best Empire desk we have ever seen!
With mahogany veneer, the mirrored front drops down revealing a leather topped writing pad and storage compartments. It has a black marble top, columns and brass decorations all typical of the Empire era.
Is in overall great condition.
(NB there are some fine, superficial hairline cracks in the marble)
Came from a fine house in Orleans, northern France. Simply beautiful.
