Finding the perfect Father’s Day gift isn’t the easiest of tasks. After covering all the items they need at past birthdays and Christmases, we now find ourselves saying ‘What do you buy a man that has everything?’ – at least that’s the case for the fathers in our family!
Looking for something small but meaningful, or wanting to wow them with a statement piece? We’ve compiled some suggestions, currently in stock. Click on the images to see the full item description.
Whether it’s for watching a good film, kicking back after a busy day or dozing off after a big meal, the 'Dad Chair' is famous for its undeniable comfort, and the fact that - as its name suggests – it’s reserved for Dad!
Old French armchairs are generous in size and are padded in all the right places, offering great lumbar support. The springs, arm rests and high back provide extra comfort for a fantastic all-rounder.
All of our chairs can be reupholstered in a fabric of your choice - just ask us for a quote.
You can’t knock a charming piece of furniture that also happens to be useful. We find all sorts of practical items in brocantes and are usually astounded by the ingenuity and attention to detail in many of those finds. A few examples that may create the ideal Father’s Day gift include:

Travelling trunkUsed for travel in the past, today trunks make the perfect statement piece in any room. Their original leather is striking and it's common to find travel labels attached to them (it's the case with this one!). They have a large storage space inside which can be filled with little treasures or clunkier items. They are also often used ottomans or coffee tables to complement a living room.
Whether used as storage or purely for decorative purposes, these wine crates have carried their fair share of French wine bottles, yet they are still filled with character. As well as storage for wine, they can also be used to store tools, as planters, or as bird houses!
The perk of repurposing old signs is that they always tell their story, even though they no longer serve their true purpose. These signs always catch our eye at a brocante, or when visiting antique dealers. They’re full of French charm and although businesses across France now display modernised versions, we still prefer the more retro ones. They’re ideal to spice up a garage / shed wall, over an office space, or in a kitchen.
Even this English 'Building Control' sign with a lovely scrolled bracket and in-laid brass lettering is so unique.
As many office jobs have relocated to home, having a good desk set up has become essential. These adjustable lamps are super stylish and authentically French (you may have seen similar styles in modern home stores…!) and help create a personalized and sophisticated work space.
Do you have something in mind that’s not on the list? Get in touch with us, we’d love to have a chat and help you find that unique Father’s Day present.
We understand that for many, Father’s Day will look different this year, and may be a sensitive time. If you find yourself in that situation, we are sending our love and thoughts.
