Father's Day Gift Guide

Father's Day is just around the corner, and finding the perfect gift for your father / father figure isn’t the easiest of tasks. After covering all the items they need at past birthdays and Christmases, we now find ourselves saying ‘What do you buy a man that has everything?’ – at least that’s the case for the fathers in our family!

Looking for something small but meaningful, or wanting to wow them with a statement piece? We’ve compiled some suggestions, currently in stock. Click on the images to see the full item description.

A staple piece: the comfy ‘Dad Chair’

Whether it’s for watching a good film, kicking back after a busy day or dozing off after a big meal, the 'Dad Chair' is famous for its undeniable comfort, and the fact that - as its name suggests – it’s reserved for Dad!

Old French armchairs are generous in size and are padded in all the right places, offering great lumbar support. The springs, arm rests and high back provide extra comfort for a fantastic all-rounder.

Combine style and practicality

You can’t knock a charming home accessory that also happens to be useful. We find all sorts of practical items in brocantes and are usually astounded by the ingenuity and attention to detail in many of those finds. A few examples that may create the ideal Father’s Day gift include:

Coat hooks & hat stand
If he's a man with many coats or loves to wear hats, coat hooks or stands make the perfect eye-catching and useful hallway accessory.

Garden accessories
The beautiful Art Deco plant pots, the repurposed grape hods or the verdigris bucket (previously used to wash vegetables),are sure to delight any gardening enthusiasts.

This is a sign…

The perk of repurposing old signs is that they always tell their story, even though they no longer serve their true purpose. These signs always catch our eye at a brocante, or when visiting antique dealers. They’re full of French charm and although businesses across France now display modernised versions, we still prefer the more retro ones. They’re ideal to spice up a garage / shed wall, over an office space, or in a kitchen.
