A mid 1800s teak English campaign chest, in surprisingly perfect condition for its age.
With brass inset handles and wonderfully carved paw feet. It has a wonderfully fitted interior with drawers and compartments (even a secret one!) and a green leather writing pad. It also has three generously sized lower drawers.
There are brass handles fitted to the sides for transportation on military expeditions.
What a history this one has!
We sourced this from a chateau in central France, near Orleans.
