A heavy wall plaque in bronze mounted on wood and titled 'La Guerre' on the bottom left hand corner.
The scene depicts a woman dropping a sword in a battlefield of raised fists.
On the bottom right is etched: 'Cosne' (a town in France), 'Frimaire' ('autumn' in the old French Republican calendar) and signed by the artist Fernand Dubois, 1901.
