Couesnon & Cie trumpet

£140.00

One of the greatest names in brass instruments.

It is engraved with the company name 'Couesnon & Cie', and there is also a stamp of 'The Universal Exhibition' in Paris, 1900 on the neck of the bell, followed by "Hors concours Membre du Jury" meaning it would have been displayed at the exhibition but did not compete.

Also, this company is a supplier of trumpets to the French Army. The trumpet has a detachable piece (see above photo, bottom right) which fits into the top of the trumpet for music sheets to sit.

There are some small dents in the trumpet itself, and it comes with its leather case, which is a little age-worn and torn in places.

Diam. of the bell:15.5cm. L51cm x D20cm
