– SoldA 19th century dressing table with beautiful marquetry throughout, and made with mixed timbers. Set on cabriole legs.
The middle top section lifts to reveal a mirror which stands up and is set on a rail allowing it to slide forwards and backwards. There are two compartments on either side with a lift up top and a pull out writing board, lined in a worn red leather, to the front mid section above a functioning drawer. The left is a large open section with a faux front drawer, and the right is a shallower open top section with a real drawer beneath.
When closed, the central section is slightly elevated and isn't flush with the other sections. There has been damage to the back right leg, which we have fixed, however it remains a visible repair. There are water marks in places.
Sourced from a house in Nevers, Central France.
