Pretty mid/late 19th century wall hung fountain.
Made from earthenware, the front has been painted and glazed and has a decorative fleur de lys motif. The back is flat.
The fountain has had a hard life, with evidence of cracks throughout, some of which have been repaired, the reverse has large staples for example.
Whilst it is no longer suitable as a fountain, it could now have a number of alternative uses such as an umbrella stand or vase. Heavy.
Sourced from a house in Aubusson, Central France.
