Painted metal case

A sage green metal case with painted butterfly and floral details.

Probably used by early 20th century botanists to transport field samples to keep them at an ambient temperature until they could be pressed.

There is a metal flap to keep the top closed and this is in great working order.

Signs of use throughout but perfectly serviceable.
