Timeless cafe chairs, both by Thonet and with their makers marks present.

The right is 19th century, the beech wood frame has been stained dark and has a perforated seat and looped back rest. The left is mid 20th century and has a wonderfully curved back rest and solid seat. There are inverted "u" shaped stretchers on all sides of the chair under the seat.

Both chairs show evidence of use; scuffing in places, but they are sturdy and solid.
