19th century cane seated stool.
The stool has high sides with spindles, turned legs and a central stretcher for support.
There is a small lever on the side that unlocks the top, which allows the seat to lift over to reveal a ceramic basinette / bidet.
Strong and sturdy. The cane seat has a small 'soft' area (see last photo) but other than that it is intact.
