Late 19th century ebonised cane back chair.
Recently reupholstered by us in 'Golden Lilly' woven fabric by William Morris, the chair has a new and loose seat cushion and padded armrests.
The chair has a markers badge on the reverse: 'A.E. Eliaers of Paris', a company well renowned for making medical chairs (predominantly for those injured during combat).
The cane back is intact, and there has been an old repair to the back of the stretcher. The chair is strong and stable.
