Early 1800's cherrywood 'armoirette'. Fitted internally with storage shelves.
On short cabriole legs and with Louis XV styling, the detail on this cabinet is rather charming; from the carved floral motif at the centre of the top to the panelled door and the curved bottom rail.
The hardware is equally as impressive, there is an elaborate escutcheon over the keyhole and two large door hinges.
The lock is in working order. From a doctor's house in Orleans, France.
