A delightful needlework sampler by a young lady named Marguerite Blaise dated 1900. The sampler is worked in brightly colourful wools and references the Chateau du Loir, a 15th and 19th century castle situated in the Pays de la Loire in North Western France.
The sampler is contained in a glass fronted, ebonised frame with a gold slip, and is ready for wall hanging.
