With soft lines and gently contrasting colours.
Set in a wooden frame.
There are small brown dots throughout, possibly a voluntary addition by the painter. It is titled 'Neige à Barentin', signed twice 'G. Gratigny' and dated '1940' on the back. Barentin is a small town in Normandy.
