An exceptionally wide early 1800's fruitwood dining table.
The top is constructed from strips of various types of fruitwoods. The top of the table was originally designed to fold over; the concertinaed legs could then be pushed inwards so it could be set flat against a wall, demi-lune style, and then pulled out for use as a dining table when required.
Now, the top is fixed, and is in 2 parts for use as a dining table.
