The back of the chair, as well as all four legs, have been beautifully, and ornately carved which means the chair sits very well in any position in a room.
The frame is very solid, worm free, and priced 'as is'. There used to be a stretcher but this has long since been removed and the grooves made good.
Interestingly, this same style of chair was installed in the first class dining carriage on board the RMS Olympic.
