Rare set of 4 barber's chairs sourced from a residence in Paris.
This handsome, non-identical set have adjustable backrests; there are little brass knobs which allow the backs to slide up and down. The desired positions are secured into place.
The chairs have cane backs and all but one has a cane seat too. One of the back rests has a small amount of damage to the canework.
The chair with the solid seat is decorated with a faded ivy leaf pattern. This chair has had an historic repair to is left arm.
Each chair is strong, sturdy and charmingly time worn, and if they could talk we imagine the stories these would tell!
