A 19th century tapestry carton of a bouquet of flowers, a common design of the period. The shape suggests that the final tapestry was used on the backrest of a chair.
Gouache on thick paper. From Aubusson, Central France.
Visible signs of wear commensurate with use and age. Sold as seen, unframed.
