Late 19th century bentwood bistro chair, by the famous Austrian designer, Michael Thonet.
The maker's paper label and engraved stamp are on the inside of the frame, underneath the seat.
This elegant chair has a cane seat and a beautifully detailed back.
With a wonderful rich patina, and some light scuffing in places.
Overall, the cane is in very good condition, other than a couple of very small imprefections (see photos). The chair is strong and sturdy.
